Prevent Heat Build-Up: Overheating can weaken the adhesive on PSA disks, making removal messy.
Store Properly: Keep RMC Abrasives PSA sanding discs in a cool, dry place to maintain their adhesive strength.
Choose Quality Discs: High-quality PSA discs from RMC Abrasives ensure reliable adhesion and easy removal for smooth workflow and long-lasting performance.
Step 1: Prepare the Tool
Ensure the sander is turned off and the PSA sanding disc is cool to the touch. Working with a hot disc can lead to stretching or leave adhesive residue on the pad.
Step 2: Loosen the Edge
Use a plastic scraper or your fingernail to gently lift the edge of the PSA abrasive disc. Avoid sharp or metal tools that could damage the pad underneath.
Step 3: Peel the Disc Off
Slowly peel the PSA sandpaper disc away from the pad, working evenly around the edges to prevent tearing. This method ensures clean removal and preserves the adhesive pad.
Step 4: Remove Residue
If adhesive residue remains, use a suitable adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol to clean the sanding pad. This step ensures the new RMC Abrasives PSA sanding disc will adhere securely.
Step 5: Apply a New PSA Disc
Once the pad is clean and dry, align and press a new RMC Abrasives PSA abrasive disc onto the surface, ensuring even contact for a secure bond.
